Performing arts are a cornerstone of life at Camp Medolark. Campers of all experience levels can explore theater, music, and dance in a supportive, inclusive environment that values creativity, collaboration, and confidence. Whether a camper is stepping on stage for the first time or returning with years of experience, they are encouraged to grow at their own pace.

Our theater program is designed so everyone who wants to participate has a role. Shows are cast with inclusivity in mind, and no camper is cut or left out. With skilled, encouraging instructors and a non-competitive approach, campers feel safe trying new things, building skills, and performing as part of a joyful ensemble.

Music

Music is an exciting and updated area at Camp Med-o-lark that’s been specifically designed for young musicians. All musicians are welcome to learn a new instrument, form a band and rock out, and record original songs. We offer instruction on a variety of instruments, including vocals. While the camp has plenty of gear, we encourage you to bring any instrument along with your enthusiasm!

A fully-equipped recording studio is available for campers who wish to record any songwriting, singing, or performing they have produced and created. Campers will showcase and share their talents with camp during talent shows, sharing nights, and end-of-session shows.

Dance

Med-o-lark’s incredibly popular dance program offers an exciting mix of dance styles. Campers can explore everything from ballet and ballroom to jazz and hip-hop with quality instruction that meets campers where they are so they can build upon their current skill level. Beginner, intermediate, and advanced groups are offered in each genre.

Campers can showcase their talents to the camp community at events such as the talent show, sharing night, and the special end-of-session Dance Show. The Med-o-lark dance program utilizes multiple indoor dance studios, an outdoor stage, and an indoor stage for special performances.
