What You’ll Do – Leadership in Action

  • Cabin Life: Live alongside younger campers (ages 7–13) and be the big sib they look up to. You'll help them settle in, find their footing, and build the independence that makes camp magic.

  • Level Up Your Responsibility: Co-teach classes, help run camp events, and assist in camper supervision (especially during meals, chill time, and evening activities).

  • Creative Leadership: You’ll help assist in creative program areas based on your interests, from candles to music to art barn.

  • Bonus round: Nudge your way toward a counselor position next summer!

Mentors Got Your Back

You’ll be matched with mentors to guide your leadership journey!

  • Cabin Mentors: 2-3 counselors will help you navigate cabin leadership.

  • Teaching Mentor: A pro in a program area such as Candles or Ceramics who gives feedback and guidance.

Being a Junior Counselor has perks!

  • Stipend: $450 for 2 Sessions or $650 for 3 Sessions

  • No Tuition: 3 meals, housing, and no tuition!

  • Charter Bus / Airport Pick-Ups: If you can drive to camp, we’ve got a parking space for you. Otherwise, we’re happy to get you on our buses to/from camp or pick you up/drop you off at the airport, free of charge.

  • Staff Discount: As a junior counselor, you’ll get 40% off all goods in our camp store, all summer long!

  • Community Service Hours: 80 hours for a 4-week session, or 120 for an 6-week term—documented.

  • Recommendation Letters: Collect one from any of our Camp Directors—golden for college app!

JC DATES 2027

All Junior Counselors commit to either a 4 or 6 week journey with us.

Sessions 1 - 3 (6 weeks): June 25 - August 8
Sessions 1-2 (4 weeks): June 25 - July 25
Sessions 2-3 (4 weeks): July 7 - August 8

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate options outside of these 3 windows.‍ ‍
