What Makes Med-o-lark
an Arts Camp
(Not Just a Camp With Art)

A young woman with curly hair, glasses, and a black T-shirt with a green graphic, smiling at the camera at a table in a rustic indoor space. She wears floral headphones around her neck and is engaged in an activity with paper. Colorful hanging fabric and art supplies are visible in the background, along with other people.

Some camps offer art. At Med-o-lark, we live it.

We build each day around creative practice—where campers can try something brand new, deepen a skill they already love, and discover that the real magic comes from experimenting together.

You’ll see it in the little moments:

  • A first-time painter proudly hanging up their work

  • A group turning a funny idea into a skit, a song, or a scene

  • Kids learning to collaborate, improvise, and take creative risks safely

This is arts learning that feels like summer.

Art in the making!

50+ ActIvities

We offer everything a traditional sleepaway camp offers, but what we do really well is art!

Campers can choose from over 50 different activities such as…jewelry making, stained glass, fashion design, dance, glass making, blacksmithing, woodworking, musical theater, music, candle making and more!

Colorful plastic clothespins clipped onto a thin wire, holding black and white photographs and a small white paper, hanging against a rustic wooden and brick background.

Each activity is led by passionate artisans who are there to help foster the collaborative spirit we pride ourselves on.

We’ve got more traditional camp activities, too! From swimming to canoeing to tennis to horseback riding, Med-o-lark offers a variety of activities to keep your camper engaged for years to come!

Confidence Through Creativity

At Camp Med-o-lark, we use the arts to help children grow.

Through theater, visual arts, music, and hands-on creativity, campers:

  • Discover their voice

  • Build genuine confidence

  • Learn to collaborate

  • Grow in independence

  • Experience the pride of creating something of their own

Here, creativity is not about being the best. It’s all about the process, self-expression, and cheering each other on.

Since 1967, families from over 50 countries have chosen Med-o-lark for our inclusive environment and our reputation as a haven for creative kids.

From the moment you arrive, you’ll feel it—a sense of belonging that’s hard to find elsewhere.
