getting to camp
Arrival at Camp : June 17th
All staff should arrive at camp by 5 PM on June 17th at the latest. Please plan your travel accordingly:
Flying into Boston Logan (BOS): Arrive by 11 AM to allow time to get to camp.
Flying into Portland (PWM) or Augusta (AUG): Arrive by 1 PM to ensure you can reach camp on time.
Important: Book flights to Portland, Maine (PWM)—not Portland, Oregon!
Cape Air has flights to Augusta.
Taking a bus to Augusta, ME: Your bus should arrive by 4 PM at the latest.
Check out Concord Coach and Greyhound for bus options.
Driving: You are welcome to drive directly to camp. Please arrive at 5 PM at the latest.
Airport Pickup – Portland (PWM) & Augusta (AUG) only
We provide transportation from Portland International Jetport (PWM) and Augusta (AUG) on June 17th.
If your flight arrives after 1 PM, you may miss our transportation and may need to arrange alternate transportation. Please contact Brendan@medolark.com if you have questions.
What about BOS or NYC?
BOS is a 3 hour drive to camp. If you are arriving in Boston, we recommend you take a short taxi ride to the Concord Coach bus station in Boston and then a board a bus to Augusta, ME (~$46 one-way). Our staff can pick you up at the August, ME bus station.
NYC is a 7 hour drive to camp, so unfortunately, we are unable to provide pick-ups. If you are flying into NYC, we recommend you book a connecting flight into Portland, ME. If you cannot take a connecting flight, we recommend you book a bus or train from NYC the day before camp starts (June 16).
RETURNING HOME: AUG 21ST
We provide transportation to Portland International Jetport (PWM) on Aug 21st. The bus leaves camp at 12 PM and arrives at PWM by 1:30 PM.
We provide transportation to the Augusta, ME bus station, which can take you to Boston or New York on August 21st.
We cannot accommodate early departures, so please book flights accordingly.

memories await!
packing list
Weather - Sunny Days with Cool Nights:
Days at Med-o-lark are usually warm and sunny, with temperatures ranging from 55–90°F (13–32°C). It tends to cool off at night, so layers are key! On average, expect daytime temperatures around 80°F (26°C).We Do Your Laundry - Pretty Cool, Right?
Once a week, your laundry will be picked up and returned fresh and clean two days later—free of charge! We provide all staff with a laundry bag to use, so no need to bring your own. Just another way we help make camp life a little easier.Pack Light - For 10 Days, Not a Whole Summer:
We provide weekly laundry service, so packing for about 10 days is more than enough. For bulky essentials like rain boots or full-size toiletries, you might want to purchase them once you're here. We’ll take staff on field trips to nearby stores shortly after arrival. For International Travelers - Keep Your Sheets, Towels & Pillows at Home:
Don’t worry about packing linens or pillows —we’ll provide bed sheets, a pillow, and towels to make your arrival easier.Dress Code – Keep It Casual:
Camp life is informal, so leave your fancy clothes at home! Pack comfy, casual clothing like shorts, t-shirts, jeans, and sweatshirts. One or two dressier outfits are great for special camp events or outings, but otherwise, think practical and relaxed.Need More Info?
